What is Microneedling?

Microneedling uses tiny needles to create channels in the skin. These channels trigger the skin to begin producing collagen. This protein supports the skin and makes it fuller, tighter, and more even. Microneedling achieves impressive results with little to no downtime and quick treatment sessions.

At Slimming Solutions Med Spa, we use exosome microneedling. This treatment enhances the rejuvenating powers of microneedling with exosomes, molecules that send signals to cells. These signals stimulate the cells to produce a flood of healing factors, speeding recovery and boosting the results of treatment.

How Does Microneedling Work?

Microneedling uses a handheld device to penetrate the surface layers of skin and create micro-channels. These channels trigger the surrounding cells to go into healing mode immediately, but they also provide an excellent opportunity for the skin to absorb treatments such as exosomes.

We add exomes to our microneedling treatment. Exosomes send signals to skin cells and encourage them to heal faster and produce more healing factors. The enhanced healing can help improve treatment results, especially with skin issues such as acne scarring or hyperpigmentation.

Most people need between three and six sessions of microneedling to see the best results. You may see results start to develop after a week or two, but they will continue to improve throughout your treatment and even afterward.

Am I a Candidate for Microneedling?

Most people are good candidates. However, people with an active acne breakout or an active breakout of another skin condition may need to get this under control first.

Is There Any Downtime With Microneedling?

You may have some tingling, redness, and sensitivity after treatment. This will usually be gone the next day. You can return to your usual activities immediately after your treatment.
