Joi Tydings-Rawitch — Advanced Esthetician

joiJoi has been in Esthetics since 2006 with a strong focus on specialized anti aging techniques to keep your skin healthy and youthful.  Joi is always focused on learning the newest techniques, procedures, and technology in the industry to keep you looking young and fresh. In her efforts to stay current Joi attends 2-3 conferences a year to ensure that she is utilizing the newest and most effective treatment methods. She has learned from  Dr. Ordan, Dr. Matlock,  Dr. Harold Lancer, and other well known professionals in the anti-aging industry. Joi graduated top in her class and she has never missed an opportunity to continue learning. When she lost over 102 pounds clients were asking her how she did it.  Joi started specializing in weight loss with adding what she did to lose the weight. She doesn’t call it a diet, but a journey. She has maintained 86 pound weight loss since February 2010. Who else better to learn how to live a life without food being the focus of your life, than someone that experienced it for 35 years?

Joi shared her story on Facebook and since it had such a high response she would like to share it with you as well;

40 years ago my brother, Martin who was 13, died while my family and I were traveling on vacation. I will never forget the horrific sight of him falling out of our camper attached to our red truck traveling on the highway. He was putting up deodorant into the bathroom when the back door flew open and sucking him out onto 71 highway, hitting his head on the pavement He was up screaming, yelling, uncontrolled by 6 men holding him down, his brain was hemorrhaging, he split his skull. I was called to try to calm him down, while the ambulance on a packed holiday weekend slowed the process of help finding Martin. My Mother had to make the unimaginable decision 3 days later to pull the plug. I was 11 and from that day forward his name or accident was never spoken of. My world of War with Food began and finally 35 years later it ended only by behavior modification. I hope my story opens up wounds of your own for you and you can learn a different way of peace without food. Well wishes-Joi

martin  Martin, made this shortly before he died. This little piece of art sits on my dresser and has for years, watches over me while I sleep.

Before finding her way to medical esthetics Joi earned a degree in culinary arts and hospitality management and owned her own restaurant for several years. She then went on to earn her business degree and had a fabulous retail store for many years. When asked why she made the switch from being in the restaurant and retail industry into the medical spa profession the answer was simple: a mother will do anything for her child.

Joi’s son has a severe skin disease that has almost cost him his life. When the opportunity presented itself Joi went back to school to learn all she could to help her son. Now she is able to bring all her knowledge and skills to her fabulous clients. Joi has always been a very driven individual and has the opportunity to pursue many of her passions in life. Of the many passions that Joi has successfully pursued in her life this is by far her favorite and it shows with every patient she sees.

When Joi is not busy with patients or learning the newest in esthetic treatments she loves to spend time with her family.
