How Does Microdermabrasion Work?

Microdermabrasion is performed with a diamond-tip microdermabrasion wand before the chemical peel is applied. Yes, there are actual diamonds at the end of the tip! The skin is cleaned and prepped before microdermabrasion. Microdermabrasion feels like light sandpaper moving across your skin to remove dead, dull, acne, or aging prone skin. A chemical peel is applied after the microdermabrasion which will have a tingling sensation.

Am I a Good Candidate for Microdermabrasion?

Anyone who has concerns about their overall skin tone or texture is an ideal candidate for microdermabrasion. This treatment is also wonderful for acne-prone and/or dull skin due to aging and sun damage. Freckles and sunspots can be lightened, especially with a series.

How Long Does a Typical Treatment Take?

The treatment will last about 30 minutes, plus the time of any additional treatments you may receive with your treatment. You’re able to add on Microcurrent (strengthens muscles), LED (for faster healing), High Frequency  (helps the skin absorb healing products), or Radio Frequency full-face skin tightening (for added youthfulness).

What Results Will I See?*

This treatment will give you smoother and younger skin with a reduced, cleaner pore. You can also expect to see an improvement in your acne, scars, or poor skin texture. Results are enhanced when paired with one of our additional aesthetic treatments. 

Is There Any Downtime?*

You will feel a slight tingling during the treatment and your skin may appear slightly pink for just a few days with a little bit of peeling or none at all. Some people may peel more than others. Following treatment, we recommend adding our prescription-strength Vitamin C Rounds (helps reverse sun damage) and Rejuvenating Retinol Rounds (1% aging and acne-prone skin) to your skincare routine.
